Synopsis This book focuses on reproductive health of humankind from several Asian and African countries. It is in the fitness of things to begin with a chapter on comprehensive conceptual model to deepen the clarity and holistic understanding of this theme. Interestingly, this concept has been broadly focused beyond the narrow confines of reproducing women per se. moreover, the first part critically examines its multidimensional relevance in the society at large. Since, HIV/AIDS threat against reproductive health increases by leaps and bounds, several facets of this dangerous disease has been widely covered. In addition, adolescent boys and girls are generally overlooked under this problem, and hence due importance is given to them. Similarly, appropriate coverage is also given to nutrition, gender and empowerment of women to promote reproductive health. It is fascinating to read the success story of AIDS awareness and prevention project implemented by a premier non-governmental organization. In Short, this book will serve as an excellent reference material for all those who are concerned with reproductive health for research, programme development and teaching in the world.
