Communication and Education for Health Promotion and Population Regulation

Kuttan Mahadevan (Editor)
Synopsis This book focuses on contemporary and international perspectives on high priority themes of development particularly on the neglected health education to prevent health hazards, population control to prevent poverty and poor quality of life and to promote reproductive health. In order to promote these high priority themes of development, appropriate policies and strategies have been evolved through several chapters. The classical holistic systems approach provided in certain chapters can help planners, policy makers and promoters of these programmes to revitalize them with vision and efficiency. There are several valuable and successful experiences presented here, which have been pooled from many countries for the benefit of all the developing regions. Dr. K. Mahadevan, has consolidated all the valuable chapters with the active collaboration of co-editors and chapter writers for the fast development of these programmes. This book is a valuable text for students of health education, population, sociology, social work, management, home science, ecology and policy makers and professionals interested in holistic development. It will be valuable for both developed and developing countries alike. This classical and applied book deserves to get several awards from international agencies very soon.
