Jaya Jaya Shiva Shambho! Mahadeva Shambho! This magnificent and well-loved chant was created by Gurumayi. Based on the classical Indian melody called Darbari Raga, it inspires deep feelings of devotion and longing for God. The Sanskrit words praise the different aspects of Shiva, the Auspicious One. Jaya means "victory" or "hail." Shiva is the supreme Lord, one's own inner Self. Shambho means the "abode of bliss," the one who brings happiness and joy. And Mahadeva is the supreme Lord, the one who shines in everyone's heart. It was recorded with Gurumayi at Shree Muktananda Ashram, South Fallsburg, New York.
