HR Metrics: An Introduction

B.V.S Prasad (Author) K. Sangeetha (Author)
Synopsis This decade has seen a radical transformation in the face of HRM. HR metrics interventions have changed the paltry support function of HR into a strong strategic partner of an organization. HR metrics convert the value of HR programs into the language of business—tangible and measurable results that aid and direct the managers in their strategic decision-making. Metrics ascertain that management and development actions remain relevant to the overall corporate strategy that leads to increased return on investment. Thus, access to vital metrics about people is getting more importance than ever, with the facility to share data instantaneously and globally, thus enhancing the strategic role of HR. HR metrics is the holy grail of today's organization, in order to have a significant impact on the long-term performance of the company and the shareholder's value. This book is designed to provide a logical elucidation of the role played by HR metrics in the evaluation of various HR activities in an organization and how it contributes to the organization's strategic decision making and excellent business results.
