Dr. Shiv Raj Singh (b. 1949) obtained his Masterâ€™s degree in Public Administration from Panjab University, Chandigarh. He was awarded M.Phil degree in Political Science and Ph.D. in Public Administration from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. He has many distinctions to his credit both at College and University level. He joined Himachal Pradesh University in 1973 as Assistant Professor. Dr. Singh has contributed a number of Research Papers and participated in several seminars, workshops and conferences at national level. He is also a member of Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi and All India Public Administration Association. Apart from teaching, Dr. Singh has been actively participating in various academic and administrative bodies of Himachal Pradesh University. He was an elected teachersâ€™ representative to the H.P. University Executive Council, the highest decision making body. He was also a member of Academic Council, University Court and Faculty of Social Sciences of the University. Presently Dr. Singh is a member of Post-Graduate Board of Studies of Himachal Pradesh Univesity.
