Synopsis The synthesis of the enormous literature available on the effect of environmental stresses on crop productivity is an uphill challenging task due to influx of new development every day. However, we have attempted to summarize the available information in the form of this book and tried to include the latest developments in the respective fields. The book has twelve chapters each written by expert having extensive experience in the concerned field. Impact of climate change, global warming, and other abiotic stresses on crop production has been addressed in couple of chapters. Soil survey and land use planning and water resource managements which are intricately related to productivity under diverse environments have been included.
