Synopsis India is a agro-based nation. More than 70% of the population is having agriculture as a means of livelihood. Majority of them are having marginal holdings and a sizeable number are working as agricultural labours, due to small and marginal holdings of the agricultural land. The net yield from this sector is very low. Resulting migration from rural to urban areas, in search of employment.
