Synopsis The fourteen essays included in the book by distinguished scholars in their fields analyze broader issues related to globalization, good governance and the role of technology in a comparative perspective by focusing on case studies of diverse political and economic systems such as Argentina, India, Botswana, China, Andean region, Ghana, and other developing countries. These case studies highlight not only the role of bureaucracy, and technology in a rapidly changing "flat" world but also raise the relationships between private-public sector, electronic governance and government accountability, democratization and the direction in which a gloablized world might take both poor (South) and rich (North) countries, as also the policy implication for domestic and international security.
