Currently, HPLC is one of the most widely used analytical techniques among all the different chromatographic methods providing superior qualitative and quantitative results, reproducibility and higher detection sensitivity and unsurpassed reliability of analytical data. Although, the technique is associated with versatility, there are several pitfalls the analysts need to overcome for which adequate practical experience and skill is prerequisite.  The book has primarily been designed for analysts who are unfamiliar with this technique or have limited training and experience in this or have constraints in finding a suitable HPLC method. The scope of this book has been restricted to practical application of HPLC for quantitative analysis of individual gradients in wide spectrum of multi-component pharmaceutical dosage forms with variant matrices (tablets, capsules, liquids, semisolids, aeorsols, etc.). The book contains detailed procedures for analysis of 325 formulations, the method described under PROTOCOLS along with relevant HPLC chromatogram. Efforts have been made to include all the relevant practical details such as sample preparation, type of column, injection volume, mobile phase composition, flow rate, temperature and detection wavelength to enable the analysts to perform the actual analysis without recourse to original literature cited under REFERENCE. The compilation is in fact an attempt to circumvent the tedious and time-consuming process of literature search for a suitable analytical method.
