Synopsis This book, throws light one the use of planning and process in fisheries management. These are the approaches for setting fishery objectives and selecting the best ways of achieving results has been set for this, by first outlining a focused approach to management of small-scale fisheries that takes into consideration the need to amalgamate the wide variety of concepts and elements presented therein. In this book process has been emphasized because much of the information is qualitative. Thus the manager's challenge is to balance, or even juggle, the various types of information and the interests of diverse stakeholders.
