Synopsis This book is dedicated to the study of nutrition and health problem of women on micro-macro level. The huge and large unappreciated role that malnutrition plays in the global burden of disease, together with a range of cost-effective health sector interventions to improve nutrition activities among the best ways to improve the efficiency and quality of health services. Since malnutrition affects the poor and most vulnerable group (women & children) most, addressing malnutrition also address inequities in health. Insights from nutrition include recognition that there is a window of opportunity to improve the nutrition status of women before and during pregnancy and to improve the nutrition status of infants in the first two years of life. It is however, necessary to understand the scientific basis of women & Child development so that public opinion can be more informed.
