Synopsis The present compilation attempts to bring into focus the several aspects and applications of communications and information systems that have a bearing on the disemmination of knowledge and information. The materials presented in the following selection are drawn from both indigenous and foreign sources and touches upon library sciences in the context of the electronic applications, information technology as adapted and deployed for public and government departments, disemmination of scientific knowledge from appropriate centers, networking of information systems for wider applications and end-use, and system applications in the social sciences.
