About the authors

R.K. Mishra

R.K. Mishra is currently Professor and Dean (Research) at the Institute of Public Enterprise, Hyderabad. He is a graduate of International Management Programme, SDA Bocconi, Milan, Italy. He has research stints at London Business School and Maison Des Sciences De L' Hommes, Paris. He has taught at the University of Bradford (UK) and was a visiting Professor at Maison Des Sciences De L'Hommes, Paris. He was on action research at North-West Province of South Africa at the invitation of DFID, UK. He has undertaken many institutional researches and consultancy projects on various aspects of public enterprises, public systems and finance. He has been a Management Consultant to several national and international organizations including PWC and Adam Smith Commission, Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council, Indian Council of Social Science Research, Commonwealth Secretariat, International Civil Service Consortium, State Bureaus of Public Enterprises, Financial Institutions and Banks. He is Vice-President (Asia), International Association of Schools and Institutes in Administration, Brussels. He is Honorary Member on the Board of Research, American Biographical Institute, USA. He is special invitee to the Board of Governors, Institute of Public Enterprise, Hyderabad. He has several international and national publications.

H.L. Kaila

Dr. H.L.Kalia, presently Reader and Head, Postgraduate Department of Psychology, SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai. Dr. Kalia has over 20 years professional experience and has to his credit several projects with ICSSR, UGC and World Health Organisation; and has authored 12 books, 10 monographs, and a large number of articles for newspapers, magazines and journals. He has also appeared several times on television for providing his experts views. Recently Dr. Kalia represented India at the International Democratic Education Conference 2003 at Albany, New York.

S. Ravishankar

Dr. S. Ravaishankar has more than two decades of professional experience and is a well known HRD and Behavioural Training Specialist. Formerly, he was a Professor at NITIE and DGM-HRD at AFCONS. He has many publications to his credit in the areas of Organisational Behaviour and HRD. He is a member of professional bodies like ISTE, IIPA, etc. He is a National Council Member of ISTD (2002-03); and has the experience of conducting large number of management training programmes.

C.S. Thomaskutty

Dr.C.S. Thomaskutty, with two decades of professional experience, is currently Dy. General Manager (HR & Admn.), Aarti Drugs Ltd., and Director, Rupal Drugs Ltd., Tarapur. He is the Founder President of Tarapur Mgt. Assn. And Hony. Director of TMA Institute of Mgt. Studies, Tarapur. He is a life member of many professional bodies the NIPM, ISTD, TMA, AIMA, etc.; and has conducted large number of management development programmes. His areas of specialisation include personnel management, business administration, law, management science and HRD.
