Synopsis Chemical Kinetics includes the rates of chemical reaction. Photochemistry and kinetics of solids liquids and gases. The speed at which a reaction takes place is called rate of a reaction. Fast reaction have high rate of reaction and slow reactions have lower rate of reactions. Some reaction rates are influenced by radiations, particularly ultraviolet and visible light. Such reactions are called photochemical reactions. The energy provided by the light radiations in enough to overcome energy barrier of reactants and make them react. Photosynthesis, photography, blue printing etc. are the e.g. of photochemical reactions. Kinetics of liquid gases and solids are based upon the particle model. This model is known as dynamic particle model. The present book is written in such a manner which almost cover the all kinetics of chemistry and it is done in minimal space. Simplifications and generalizations are made at places in order to avoid complications. This book contains sufficient material to acquaint the student with chemical kinetics.
