Arunima Baruah, an eminent Library Scientist, is a proficient author and an esteemed scholar. She is well known in the literary circles for her thorough studies and authentic works on â€œLibrary and Information Scienceâ€ and related subjects. She has several books to her credit and has presented papers in various seminars â€“ National and international. She has particularly worked on the social aspects of Library Science and the role of Libraries in growth of society. Baruah, a post graduate from Guwahati University, served in her alma-mater first and was later associated with some newspapers in the North-East. Now she is a Librarian, ICCW, New Delhi.
