Arunima Baruah, an eminent Library Scientist, is a proficient author and an esteemed scholar. She is well known in the literary circles for her thorough studies and authentic works on “Library and Information Science” and related subjects. She has several books to her credit and has presented papers in various seminars – National and international. She has particularly worked on the social aspects of Library Science and the role of Libraries in growth of society. Baruah, a post graduate from Guwahati University, served in her alma-mater first and was later associated with some newspapers in the North-East. Now she is a Librarian, ICCW, New Delhi.
