Dr. B. Kesavanarayana was educated at Osmania University, Hyderabad, and taught at Aurangabad and Nuzvid. He is now Professor of Modern History at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam (A.P.). He is also the author of Political and Social Factors in Andhra 1900-1956’ and several research papers.

Dr. Adapa Satyanarayana passed M.A. in History from Osmania University in 1976 and did his M.Phil at the Centre for Historical Studies, JNU, New Delhi in 1979. He obtained Ph.D. degree in 1983 from South Asia Institute of Heidelberg, University, Germany. after his return to India, he had joined the History Department of Osmania University as a Lecturer in March 1984. In January 2000 he was promoted as a Professor. Presently he is the Head, Department of History, Osmania University. Prof. Satyanarayana was awarded prestigious fellows like Nehru Memorial Museum (1991-92) the Japan Foundation (1995-96) the German Academic Exchange Fellowship (1996-97) the Visiting Fellowship of the International Institute of Asia Studies, The Netherlands (1998-99) etc. He has been actively engaged in post-doctoral reserach and published more than two dozen articles in National and International Journals as well as attended many seminars. He is currently working on the social history of Dalit-bahujan castes / communities of Modern Andhra Pradesh.
