Kamlesh Mohan

Kamlesh Mohan, Professor of Modern Indian History, Panjab university (Chandigarh), is well-known for her writings in two areas: (i) Indian freedom movement especially its militant phase and (ii) gender studies. She has published three scores if articles in national and international journals and three monograpghs. Among her major publications are included Militant nationalism in the Punjab 1919-1935 (1985), A Bunch of Flowers, co-eds. (1971), and Jallianwala Bagh: a saga of sacrifice, co-eds. (1995). A widely-traveled scholar, she has been invited as a Visiting Professor twice to Maison des Sciences de L’Homme and Charles Wallace Visiting fellowship at St. Antony’s College (Oxford) in 1995-96 and 1998.
