Synopsis
This monograph presents the salient results of geophysical and geological study of the Project B2.3 "The Crustal Structure of the Indian Ocean floor" under the Integrated Long Term Programme (ILTP) of scientific and technical coopertion between former USSR and India. The participants of the project are: From Indian side- National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), Goa and Regional Centre (NIO), Visakhapatnam, National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) Hyderabad Coordinator-Dr. B.N. Desai. From USSR side-Institute of Oceanology USSR Academy of Sciences (IO), Moscow. The scientists from the Institute of Geophysics, Ukranian Academy of Sciences, Keiv also participated in the project. Coordinator-Prof. Yu. P. Neprochnov.
