Shams-Ud-Din

Dr. Shams-ud-Din is an Associate Professor in the Centre for Soviet and East European Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has authored, Secularisation of Politics in the USSR: A Case Study of Soviet Cultural Policy in Uzbekistan and Soviet-Afghanistan Relations, besides editing a volume on Perestroika and the Nationality Question in the USSR. He has also contributed scores of research papers and articles in professional journals. widely travelled both in East and Western Europe, Dr. Shams-ud-Din speaks Russian Fluently and most of his research is based on primary source material.
