Synopsis

Dog is highly complex animal, that has adopted to man over the centuries according to Zoologists dog represents a definite species Canis familiaris. The genus Canis includes dog, wolves, jackals and some other animals, each of which is a separate species. Thus dog is a hierarchical animal.

The origin of name dog is obscure. According to oxford English dictionary it appears in Anglo Saxon tongue before AD 1000. Similarly the origin of word bitch is likewise obscure. This too appears in Anglo-Saxon for female of any dog.

The book is intended for the benefit of dog. Our canine friends have no literary capabilities. They rely upon us to interpret their needs so that they can provide the best quality to the lives of their pets. Owners need some guideline and more knowledge. The basic need in this direction is to know terminology used for their creature.
