Dr. K. Muraleedharan, who secured Ph.D in Economics from Dr.John Matthai Center, University of Calicut, Kerala, India, has been actively engaging in academic and development research. His areas of interest includes Participatory Development, Gender and Development, Globalisation, Information Technology and Economics of Education in the Indian context. He has directed a few research projects for various National and International Organizations such as 1). Ministry of External Affairs, Government of Netherlands 2) Sunya foundation, Ahamedabad, Gujarath, India 3) Indian Council of Social Science Research, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, New Delhi and 4) National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration, New Delhi, India. His research papers have appeared in the Indian Economic Journal, Asian Economic Review, Journal of Educational Planning and Administration, Indian Journal of Social and Economic Policy and ELDIS Gender reports.
