G. Vijayalakshmi

Dr. Vijayalakshmi (b. 1953) M.A. (Sociology), Ph.D. (Education) has had her education at Sri Venkateswara university, Tirupati. She has found interdisciplinary work in women’s studies very congenial. She has been working as Lecturer in the Department of Education of Sri Padmavathi Women’s University, Tirupati and is engaged in teaching and guiding the courses in education higher levels. Though her main work has been in the area of Sex Roles and Occupational Choice, she has been keenly interested in issues pertaining to women, development and education. She has published papers in a variety of reputed journals of educatin and attended/participated in many conferences and seminars.
