Synopsis This directory covers important institutions, universities, colleges and other expertise in the country has two parts. Part A deals with expertise available in the field of industrial pollution management and control, and it is further divided into five sections. Information pertaining to Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and Engineering Colleges is placed in Section 1, while Section II covers university departments. National institutions are included in Section III. Section IV deals with NGOs and consultants--firms and individuals--and in Section V information about the in-house training programmes of a few public under-takings is given. Part B, dealing with forestry, ecology and allied fields has two sections: Section I broadly covers university departments and other institutions whereas information with respect to NGOs is put together in Section II.
