During the recent years, with the growing concern for the environment and its management, the accumulated scientific concepts on environment have witnessed the emergence of a multidisciplinary subject i.e. Environental science. Because of the interdisciplinary nature of the subject, sometimes, it becomes difficult for a student/teacher/scientist to keep track on the ongoing research in the field. The aim of the present book is to provide its readers an acquaintance with the recent research trends in the area of ecology and environmental science. For this purpose 34 papers and reviews contributed by the experts from different educational and scientific institutions in India and abroad have been serially arranged from soil ecology and vermitechnology through ecology and ecophysiology forest and wildlife ecology to pollution ecology and toxicology.
