Synopsis A successful attempt has been made in this book to bring out an ethnographic profile of the Yerukalas living in three different settlements having rural, semi-urban and urban ecological back grounds in Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. This book is an out come of a long-term intensive field work. Being a typical traditional anthropological study, this book explains the social institutions of the Yerukalas with particular reference to the traditional and changing patterns of marriage, family and kinship of the Yerukalas in three different settings. The dynamics of the structural components of the Yerukalas have been well analysed and presented in this book. The book helps the future researchers in the field of anthropology, sociology and other social sciences. It also helpful to the policy makers, administrators, planners, who are involving in the tribal development.
