About the author

Asok Kumar Mohapatra

Dr. Asok Kumar Mohapatra was born and educated in Odisha. He taught at Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, before joining the Indian Administrative Services in 1971. He retired as Secretary Shipping, Government of India in 2008, and there after held a quasi judicial position for a few years. He is known for his deep original thinking and philosophical approach to life. A firm believer in human values, he holds ethics as the final end of all knowledge and action. This anthology of poems is a broad reflection of his philosophy of life.
