Amit Chaudhuri

Amit Chaudhuri is one of the leading novelists of his generation. He is the author of four novels, a book of short stories, and a critical study of the poetry of D.H. Lawrence. He has also edited the Picador Book of Modern Indian Literature, and has been the recipient of several national and international awards, including the Commonwealth Writers Prize, the Betty Trask Award, the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for Fiction, and the Sahitya Akademi Award.
