Hindutva Parivar

M.G. Chitkara (Author)
Synopsis History is a witness that Hindu solidarity is not easy. There is something in the blood of Hindus which comes in the way of their unity. It is the misfortune of Hindutva Parivar Organisations, that BJP, a party with a difference, it speaks in one voice when in the opposition; when in power, it goes astray, with dissidence, indiscipline rearing its ugly head. In recent past, the Swadeshi Jagaran Manch (SJM) and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on one side, and the BJP on the other have criticised one another. This washing of dirty linen in public must end. BJP top bosses and VHP leaders must come to an understanding about the common agenda of Hindutva Parivar. There are serious differences within the Hindutva Parivar but these are differences in perceptions and yet are secret of their oneness. Swami Vivekananda said: "All differences in this world are of degree, and not of kind, because oneness is the secret of everything. These known as "Sangh Parivar", "Sangh & the allied", "Sangh and the affiliates", "Hindutva outfits", "Hindutva forces", etc. all the organisations inclusive of Sangh are inspired by Hindutva thought and are working for rejuvenating India in their own way. It would be appropriate to call them "Hindutva Parivar". Historically, the word ‘Hindu’ denotes country and not religion. Even today we are known as ‘Hindi’ in the Arab and Turkish world. Speaking of religion in West, Christian-majority countries, the people are not ashamed of their faith. To say India is not a Hindu country and Hindutva is not secular is to deny reality.
