Synopsis Soil and water are the most precious gifts of nature. Increase in food production can be achieved only when soil and water are efficiently managed and conserved. Natural resource management and control of resource degradation is now a necessity in almost every country of the world. The watershed is a manageable hydrologic unit that makes harmonious use of the prevailing climate, soils, water, locally available inputs and human resources for increasing agriculture productivity.
