Farm energy is derived from human labour, animal and machines. Farm energy is highly indispensable from timely completion of agricultural operations. Economic implications of energy use in agriculture include increase in agricultural production, farm incomes, standard of living. Use of energy which started during HYV programme (1960s) has got further impetus in the recent past. Economic benefits, management aspects of energy use has not been determined in cropping systems.
