Gouri Srivastava

Dr. Gouri Srivastava is a Reader in Education at the Department of Womenâ€™s Studies, National Council of Education Research and Training. She has done her M.A. and M. Phil at the Jawaharlal Nehru University with high grade points. She did her Ph.D. from Delhi University. Dr. Srivastava has published widely in academic journals and is the author of Women Who Created History, Womenâ€™s Higher Education in the 19th Century, Education in India in A Historical Perspective. The Legend Makers Some Eminent Muslim Women of India and the Role of Begams of Bhopal in Educating Girlsâ€™ in the mid 19th and 20th Centuries. She is a recipient of Scholarships from Prestigious organizations such as the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR) and from Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) for completing her doctoral work.
