About the authors

H Rahman

Dr. H. Rahman did his M.V.Sc, from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, PhD from GB Pant Univ. Agril, Tech., Pantnagar and Post-Doc from Robert Koch Institute, Germany. He is currently holding the post of Director, Project Directorate on Animal Disease Monitoring and Surveillance, Banglore. He has earlier worked as joint Director, ICAR Research complex for NEH Region, Gangtok, Head of Division, IVRI, Izatnagar. Veterinary microbiology, public health and molecular biotechnology are the major areas of his specialization. Dr. Rahman is a recipient of many awards and honors, has more than 160 publications including books, research papers, bulletins, etc.

L R Chatlod

Dr. L.R. Chatlod did his M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. and Veterinary Public Health from IVRI, Izatnagar. Presently he is working as Scientist at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Gangtok. Food borne infection and intoxication and, molecular detection and characterization of enteric bacteria are major areas of his specialization. He has more than 40 publications including research papers, book chapters, manuals, etc. he is associated with three externally funded projects and three institute project.

Z B Dubal

Dr. Z.B. Dubal did his M.V.Sc. from Bombay Veterinary College, Mumbai and Ph.D. in Veterinary Public Healh from IVRI, Izatnagar. Presently he is workig as Scientist at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Umiam, Meghalaya. Food borne infection and intoxication, and molecular detection and characterization of enteric viruses are major areas of his specialization. He has more than 30 research papers, bulletins, book chapters, etc. he is handling one externally funded project and three institute projects.
