Fluid Mechanics and Machinery

R Rudramoorthy (Author) C P Kothandaraman (Author)
Synopsis

This edition is totally revised with two new additional chapters-Compressible Fluid Flow and Fluid Power Systems. The chapters on Buoyancy, Flow in Closed Conduits, FLow Measurements and Hydrodynamics are enlarged. Also in all chapters a number of new solved problems, examples and exercise problems have been added.

The text provides the following:

Guidance in building of physical and mathematical models more often called derivation of equations to describe the physical situation.

About 320 numerical examples for the application of the equations derived

About 300 sketches explaining the physical situations.

About 500 solved problems to highlight the whole spectrum of applications.

About 750 objective questions with answers for self evaluation.

More than 500 graded problems for exercise mostly with answers.

Stress on validation of numerical results by counter checking.
