Dr. Vandan Mohod born on Feb. 23, 1955 at Madhan in amravati District. He did his post graduation in Agricultural Botany from Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, akola. He was former Registrar, Amravati University, Amaravati. He obtained Ph.D. under the guidance of Dr. Tayyab, an international reputed expert in the field. He worked as Associate Professor in Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth. He was Professor and Head, Department of Biiotechnology, Amravati University, Amravati. Dr. Mohod attended Seed Improvement Training Course conducted by National Seed Corporation, New Delhi, and was selected as an expert by Maharashtra Government for writing text book for the curriculum of Minimum Competency Vocational Course. He obtained disploma in Export Marketing Management. He has published more than 100 popular articles in various newspapers and magazines. He published more than 25 research papers in national and international research journals. He took keen interest in social work as part of social commitment.
