M.A. Khan

Dr. M.A. Khan, professor-cum-Chief Scientist is Hed, Division of Environmental Sciences, S.K. University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir, Shalimar, Srinagar. His major research faci include environmental biology, production ecology, environmental pollution and impact assessment and biodiversity. He is a recipient of UNESCO fellowship at the University of Vienna, Austria. Widely traveled academician, Prof. Khan has almost 30 years of research and teaching experience and taught at various universities at home and abroad. He has visited several countries for conferences and lectures, and was a visiting scientist at the Italian Institute of Hydrobiology, Pallanza and Windermere Laboratory, Freshwater Biological Association, England. Besides having authored/edited some books, Prof. Khan has 85 research papers to his credit published in national and international journals. He has been the Principal Investigator and Co-Pl. of several research projects including those sponsored by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, New Delhi and Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi. An active fellow / member of a range of national and international scientific association, Prof. Khan conferences and environment awareness programmes. He bagged prestigious World Environment Congress Award and World 2000 Millennium for his significant contribution in the field of environmental sciences.
