Political Philosophy of Anarchism
Synopsis
The term ‘anarchism’ derives from the Greek //anarcho, meaning ‘without archons’ or ‘without rulers’. Anarchism, broadly speaking, is the political philosophy of human emancipation. Anarchism is usually considered to be a radical left-wing ideology and as such much of anarchist economics and legal philosophy reflect anti-authoritarian interpretations of communism, collectivism, syndicalism or participatory economics.
The book entitled Political Philosophy of Anarchism is an attempt to incorporate the useful developments of anarchist philosophy in the last hundred years, and to make it relevant to the problems of the twenty-first century. Anarchists propose that communities should organize themselves to address their own needs, without either state or corporate mandates.
