About the author

R K Jain

Dr. Rajendra Kumar Jain Principal Scientist and Head, Regional Research Centre, Indian Grassland, Fodder and Agro-Forestry Research Institute, Avikanagar. He completed M.Sc. in Botany in 1970 from the University of Rajasthan and Ph.D. in 1986 from the PG School, IARI, New Delhi. After working as lecturer in Botany and Research Associate he was selected for the Agriculture Research Service (ICAR) in 1976. He was posted at IGFRI, Jhansi. He served as Head, Division of Plant Protection, from 1990 to 1993. He is widely travelled and has visited the U.K. and The Netherlands under the Indo-U.K. Forage Project sponsored by ODI, U.K. He has published more than 100 research papers, review articles and chapters in edited books.
