In Part III, computerized methods of design, process planning, manufacturing application of expert systems.  Machine intelligence etc. are described.  Thus, the book tells how to synthesis and harmonize the available the desired industrial growth through advanced methods of production and manpower utilization.

About the author

N P Rao

Dr. N P Rao received his B.Sc. (Hons.) and M. Sc. from Andhra University, Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and Industrial management, and Ph. D. from Delhi University.  He graduated from the International Centre for Advancement of Management Education, Stanford University, USA in Production Management.  He was the Director of Defence Institute of Stores Preservation and Packaging and Defence Information and Documentation Centre.  Earlier, he worked as the Senior Scientific Officer, Principal Scientific Officer and was a visiting Professor at Delhi, Roorke and Stanford University on Management and allied subjects.  He published research work on storage, preservation packaging, transportation and management problems encountered in the Army, Navy and Airforce.  He widely traveled and represented India at the Asian Productivity Organization, etc. and visited U.K., U.S.A., West Germany etc., in Inventory and Management Seminars and Conferences.  He was a member, Operations Research Society.  Management Science Association, Institution of Industrial Engineers, etc.  He has 40 years of teaching, research and consultancy experience.  He was the Course Coordinator for Management and Business Administration Courses in the Delhi Productivity Council and Institute of Management and Productivity Research.

He is on the Faculty of APSEB, Engineering Staff College of India etc. on Personnel Management, Marketing Management, including Foreign Trade, Labour and Industrial Management, Human Resource Development etc., his latest books include Modernising Management for 21st Century, Human Resource Development in Management and Administration, New Technologies and Production Systems etc.
