He was deputed to work for relief and rehabilitation programme of India's two major disasters such as Earthquake in Gujarat and Super Cyclone in Orissa. A prolific writer, who wrote over 40 books covering wide range of subjects, such as Environment, Anthropology, Women Development and so on. Over 50 articles has bee published in journals of repute in English, Oriya and Bengali. He has also presented over 40 papers in India Behavioral Science. He has trained by UNIDO and ILO on Cluster Development in ILO International Training Centre in Turin, Italy.
