In the quest to improve the quality of engineering education, it is not just enough to teach engineering principles and design procedures. A production drawing is an important document, as the entire production depends on the design of the component, which may include the selection of the process also. The production drawing is a guide not only to the artisan in the shop floor but also to the design engineer-in successful manufacture of a product.
