Professor Abdur Raheem Kidwai, Editor of this Volume is Professor, Department of English, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, UP and Visiting Professor, Department of English, University of Leicester, UK. He was awarded Commonwealth Fellowship in 2005. His other works include Orientalism in Lord Byronâ€™s Turkish Tales, Lewiston, USA; The Crescent and the Cross: Image of the Orient in English Literature, AMU, Aligarh, India and another Volume edited by him, Stranger than Fiction: Images of Islam and Muslims in English Fiction, APH, New Delhi. He has delivered lectures at the Universities of Oxford, Leicester, Sunderland and Mauritius and presented papers at International conferences on Romanticism and Lord Byron.
