B.N.Jha has been the top scorer and gold medalist throughout his academic career. He is M.A in Philosophy, M.A. in labour and social welfare, bachelor of law, Certificate holder in business management from the Indian institute of Management Calcutta. Jha has received advanced training in management both from Oxford University U.K. and Harvard University U.S. A, After a brief stint as a Post Graduate Lecturer in Ranchi and Magadh Universities of Bihar, Jha joined Steel Authority of India Ltd. (Erstwhile Hindustan Steel Ltd.) as a management Trainee (Administration) in 1964 and having served on various responsible positions in many units of SAIL for about 23 year took over as Director (Personnel) in Engineering India Ltd., in July 1987. He also acted as Chairman and Managing Director of EIL for sometime. He superannuated on 28 Feb. 1998 after 11 years of dedicated services as Director/Chairman of EIL, a Schedule’A’ Govt of India Undertaking.

He is a member of several professional organizations and has conducted many seminars and workshops in the areas of  general and personnel management subject to reputed magazines and journals and presented articles in international management conferences.

Jha has received many awarded and laurels like Bharat Udyog Award, Industrial Excellence Award and Best Trainer’s Award etc. from reputed national level organizations during his services career.

Jha has widely travelled to U.K., U.S. A., Germany, France, Japan Hongkong, Bangkok, Singapore, Malaysia, Algeria, Mautitius, Iran, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kuwait and Nepal, Netherland, Belgium, Luxemburg etc.

Jha is scholarly by temperament, widely read, having conceptual clarity coupled with effective communication skills. He takes keen interest in sharing his knowledge and experience, his ideas and views with others. He has taught M.B.A students in four management institute in Delhi at different points of time and has conducted seminars for Senior Executives. He is delivering lectures to  Management executives on invitation from the organization from time to time.
