Synopsis The present book has examined the role of foreign investments in economic development of the developing countries especially that of India. It makes an interesting study of the world pattern of foreign investment flows, region-wise and individual country-wise. The conclusion is inescapable that India is now the focal point of foreign investors. Nevertheless, the analysis has been extended to an important dimension of actual utilisation of the foreign investments. There is a need to lay adequate emphasis on the end use of foreign investment.
