Govindasamy Agoramoorthy

Govindasamy Agoramoorthy has taught, lectured, and conducted research in primatology, zoo biology, wildlife and environmental sciences at several universities and research institutions in India, USA, Belgium, Netherlands, Liberia, Venezuela, Argentina, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and other countries.  He became the first biologist to conduct surveys for forest primates and white-breasted guinea fowls in Liberia (West Africa) on behalf of the World Wide Fund for Nature.  He was Visiting Scientist at Smithsonian Institution (Washington, D.C.) between 1989 and 1993.  He is currently Professor at Tajen University, Taiwan.  He serves in the advisory board of several international environmental groups and scientific journals.  He has been the Chairman of Ethics and Welfare (SEAZA) since 1998 and he continues to improve animal welfare standards.  He has published over 150 research papers in international journals.  Agoramaoorthy is a renowned biologist, professor and theorist in the fields of nature, society, and animal/human rights.
