About the authors

C. Rajendran

Dr. C. Rajendran is currently working as Professor & Head of the Department of Sanskrit, University of Calicut. He had an illustrious academic career, securing First Class and First Rank for both his B.A. and M.A. degrees, with University record marks. He was awarded the prestigious University Grants Commission scholarship for his post graduate studies. He joined University of Calicut in 1978 after a brief stint as a Lecturer in Sree Kerala Varma College, Trichur. A man of wide ranging interests, Dr. Rajendran has specialized in Aesthetics, Philosophy, Linguistics, Comparative Literature, Chess History, and Ancient Indian Management. He has authored a dozen books and about two hundred learned articles published in various national/international journals. Dr. Rajendran has traveled extensively in India and abroad and presented several research papers in various conferences/symposia. He has been a resource person for U.G.C. Refresher courses in various Universities of India in subjects like Indology, Environment Science, Comparative Aesthetics and Literary Theory. K. Ramamoorthy

Dr. K. Ramamoorthy, now Professor in Seed Science and Technology at Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai, TNAU, was a Kaira Research Fellow of College of Agriculture from Calcutta University, West Bengal. he pursued his doctoral research under the able guidance of Prof. R.N. Basu, and research, he is the author of 75 research papers of which 15 are in international journals and 60 popular articles. He did his M.Sc. (Ag.) in Seed Science and Technology, Department of Seed Science and Technology, Tamil Committee for monitoring and upgradationof seed testing taboratories in Tamil Nadu, member, Board of Studies, TNAU, Coimbatore and Principal Investigator of GOI sponsored Medicinal Plant Scheme and serving in editorial board, of three leading national journals devoted to agriculture.

S. Juliet Hepziba

Dr. S. Juliet Hepziba obtained Ph.D. (1996) in Plant Breeding and Genetics from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. She has eleven years of research and teaching Nadu experience and was involved in the release of two pearl millet hybrids. She has at her credit thirty research articles in reputed journals and presented eleven papers in national and international seminars / conferences.
