Synopsis The Book entitled 'Consumer Protection Through Regulation of Unfair Trade Practices' is an attempt inter-alia to ascertain the extent of the prevalence of Unfair Trade Practices (UTP); examine the consumers attitudes and experiences relating to their deception by manufacturers and dealers through various UTP; identify the possible reasons or factors which prevent or discourage consumers from making complaints or taking suitable action against manufactures or dealers indulging in UTPs; measures the consumers attitudes relating to the effectiveness of various consumer grievances redressal agencies. It also seeks to discuss the role of consumer grievances redressal agencies. It also seeks to discuss the role of consumer grievances redressal agencies under the Consumer Protection Act 1986.
