Many of Che's comments about Marx reveal the link between the biographer and his subject and might also refer to Che himself. For example, his observation: Such a humane man whose capacity for affection extended to all those suffering throughout the world, offering a massage of committed struggle and indomitable optimism, has been distorted by history and turned into a stone idol. For his example to be even more luminous, we must rescue him and give him a human dimension… My outline simple serves as an introduction to his work and is dedicated to those who may not be acquainted with Marxist economics and who may not know of the vicissitudes of its founders.
