Synopsis This publication entitled "Encyclopaedia of Environmentally Sustainable Green Science and Technology" attempts towards creating a holistic understanding of environment and sustainable development in its totality. It defines environment and sustainable development in all its dimensions.  The concepts and methodologies of ecology, environment and sustainable development have been discussed in detail. The ecosystem perspective and environmental concept of sustainable development have been highlighted, so has been the environmental methodology. An effort has been made towards defining green science and its manifestations for understanding pollution. The applications of green science and technology have been discussed along with a case of biotechnology. The green technology, and environmental monitoring issues have been given considerable coverage. Select case studies have been made in this regard. Also, case studies of environmental engineering and environmental biotechnology have been incorporated with focus on applications and utilities. Future prospect of environmentally sustainable or green technology in today's world has been analyzed briefly.
