Empowering Rural Women

Sujit Kumar Dutta (Author) Dilip Kumar Ghosh (Author)
Synopsis The complexity of the problem of women empowerment process itself requires both macro and micro considerations, and it is difficult to pass a judgment on its success by using a single or just a few selected criteria. The major discussion of empowerment process pertains mainly to the profile of women workforce, status of female-headed households, policies and programmes related to women, empowerment of women through literacy and women in Panchayat. Hence, women empowerment has to be understood through these dimensions conjointly rather than in isolation. The topics/themes included in this book analyse several interesting aspects of women empowerment issue.
